Cloud-Native Data Engineering Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our data engineering team and contribute to the development of innovative cloud-native data intensive applications.

  • Key qualifications include 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend and data engineering, as well as hands-on experience with Python, JVM and Shell Scripting.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building cloud native data intensive applications, specifically with Amazon Web Service, and will be proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems using Airflow.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is also essential.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality features and tasks for the data warehouse team.
  • Building and maintaining Spark applications, and ensuring their scalability and performance.
  • Implementing data warehouse design and development per business nature using modern data warehouses.

This role requires strong technical expertise, including familiarity with Parquet, Delta Lake and other OTFs file formats, as well as proficiency in an IaC tool like Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation.

A fundamental understanding of observability systems, such as Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana, is also required.

Additionally, this role involves building CI/CD processes using tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or Jenkins, and providing high-quality readable business documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be comfortable receiving and providing constructive feedback, particularly during code reviews.
