Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our high performing team, you will be responsible for delivering highways-related infrastructure projects using strong technical and project management skills.

You will lead functional teams or projects, guide others in resolving complex issues, and motivate your team to achieve innovative solutions. You will work with multi-discipline engineers and designers in a fast-paced environment and support a strong pipeline of existing projects.

This role offers the opportunity to develop broad technical competence, check the work of all team members, and interpret internal or external business issues to recommend best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical competence in detailed highways geometry design using Civil 3D/Open Road Designer.
  • Leading the multi-disciplinary project delivery and performing as a design manager.
  • Clear knowledge of work procedures and ability to brief project team on them.
  • Responsible for completion of projects to time and cost.
  • Communicating with counterparts in lead offices/clients and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams on project delivery.
  • Able to realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of engineering standards (DMRB/AASHTO/Australian/Middle East), codes of practice, local authorities' guidelines.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation, PDS Signs, PDS Lines, Auto Track, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of CDE platform (Common Data Environment) i.e., ProjectWise, ACC or BIM360.

Qualifications:

  • BE Degree in Civil Engineering / Post-Graduation in Transportation / Highway Engineering.
  • Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent, or currently pursuing professional qualification from a recognized academic institution.
