Job Title: Design Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Isprava Vesta Pvt Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design process of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Review base data and provide comments on project feasibility.
  • Prepare test fits for the land acquisition team as requested.
  • Prepare feasibility studies with guidance from the Technical Director.
  • Understand project timelines from the project manager and architect lead.
  • Schedule kickoff meetings with consultants at the beginning of the project.
  • Review drawings and deliverables from consultants, providing feedback and comments.
  • Assist the Technical Director and external architects with project planning, designing, and implementation.
  • Review sales drawings and area plines.
  • Identify client needs and develop feasibility reports and design proposals.
  • Develop ideas considering client needs, building usage, and environmental impact.
  • Ensure internal signoffs as per the design process flow.
  • Work on drawings in-house as required, under the guidance of the Technical Director.
  • Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders as required, under the guidance of the Technical Director.
  • Provide standardized data and documents to relevant consultants.
  • Schedule weekly project review meetings with POD teams to track progress.
  • Escalate delays to the project manager if necessary.
  • Coordinate with design partners for design development, construction documentation, contract administration, and project delivery.
  • Work closely with external MEP engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects to complete project design.
  • Work with the procurement team to provide specifications, guided by the architect lead.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to Indian Standards and NBC guidelines.
  • Participate in providing advice and alternative solutions to the construction team, guided by the Technical Director.
  • Prepare meeting minutes of all Technical Director meetings.
  • Adhere to the design process flow identified in the presentation.
  • Visit sites periodically to ensure compliance with design and provide site instructions.
  • Visit projects before handover for snagging and provide observations and snags as per internal processes.

Requirements:

  • B.Arch degree is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English language (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Good presentation skills are mandatory.
  • SketchUp knowledge and hands-on experience are mandatory.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 4 years from a consultancy background.
  • All 6 years of experience from consultancy background is a plus.
  • Masters in Architecture or Urban Planning is a plus.
  • USGBC certification is a plus.
  • Site experience is a plus.
  • Revit knowledge is a plus.
