Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Go or Rust to create robust data pipelines that power real-time pricing engines.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys low-level protocol work, understands DeFi mechanics, and can transform raw on-chain data into actionable insights by decoding smart contract events.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of event decoders for major DeFi protocols such as Uniswap, Curve, and Balancer.
- Development and maintenance of data extractors that convert on-chain events into structured trade data.
- Implementation of logic to calculate trade prices, including handling swap routing, liquidity pool math, and price inference.
- Collaboration with data and infra teams to build efficient and scalable data ingestion pipelines.
- Optimization of performance and accuracy of pricing models such as TWAP, oracle logic, and tick-based price resolution.
- 2–5+ years of backend development experience in Go or Rust.
- Strong understanding of Ethereum smart contract ABI decoding and event logs.
- Experience working with DeFi protocols, especially understanding of AMM math, constant product formulas (x * y = k), Uniswap V3 ticks, and TWAP/oracle logic.
- Familiarity with EVM-based chains and Ethereum node infrastructure such as Geth, Erigon, and RPC APIs.
- Experience building data extraction or indexing tools such as subgraphs and custom indexers.
- Ability to work independently and own complex backend systems from design to deployment.
- Build the core infrastructure that powers real-time pricing and analytics in DeFi.
- Tackle complex and novel engineering problems in the blockchain data space.
- Work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a highly technical team.
