Job Title: CNC Machining Engineer

The CNC Machining Engineer is responsible for developing precision engineering solutions and driving innovation in manufacturing processes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing CAM Programs: Conceptualize and generate CAM programs using NX software, defining cutting tools and strategies for 3D models (50% of time).
  • Validating Outputs: Run tool path simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual simulations (15%).
  • Processing Inputs: Validate 3D models against 2D drawings and assemble part geometry in fixtures (10%).
  • Supporting Production: Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines (10%).
  • Ensuring Quality: Analyze QC reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed (10%).
  • Creating Documentation: Develop setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators (5%).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (B.E. preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years (B.E.) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM.
  • Skills: Knowledge of GD&T (mandatory), CNC machines (mandatory), NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred).
Interactions and Collaboration
  • Internal Interactions: Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless process execution.
  • External Interactions: Engage with clients for discussions and suppliers for specifications.
