Procurement Leadership Role

The Procurement Manager oversees the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services to ensure smooth operations. This role involves developing strategies, negotiating contracts, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the industry.
  • Source, negotiate, and finalize contracts for equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and logistics costs to achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure inventory planning in coordination with operations and warehouse teams.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with statutory requirements and safety norms.
  • Manage contracts with logistics providers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 4–5 years in the minerals/mining sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment, spare parts, and international trade regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management, and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
