Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ratnamani Metals & Tubes. As a key member of our utility team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our LSAW plant.

• Attend and participate in preventive, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance activities for machines and utility equipment.
• Ensure proper handover and takeover of charges during shifts.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and deploy manpower as needed for pending work.
• Determine priority tasks within each shift and communicate with the next shift in charge if work is not completed.
• Take preventive or corrective action in consultation with relevant section heads for repetitive breakdowns or major issues.
• Analyze and resolve problems with machines and utility equipment.
• Maintain records related to QMS requirements, including history cards, preventive checklists, and calibration certificates.
• Monitor compressor operations and perform routine maintenance on machines and RO plants as instructed by section heads.
• Regularly backwash reactor tanks and UF systems with technicians.
• Adhere to safety practices, using personal protective equipment as necessary, and ensure subordinates follow suit.
• Prepare critical spares to reduce maintenance response time.
• E nsure adherence to proper safety methods during maintenance activities.
• Monitor ETP/STP operations and participate in house and external training as applicable.
• Review work performance of assigned tradesmen under supervisory personnel's direction, as directed by the HOD.
• Complete all preventive maintenance daily and sign off daily PM sheets.
• Ensure regular calibration of utility equipment.
• Inspect machining parts and purchased items when required.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with QMS requirements and compliance regulations.
