**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for managing a team and facilitating flow of information across multiple stakeholders to resolve any potential issues that impact customer experience/business continuity.

The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the logistics space and be able to communicate clearly in both written and oral form. You should be able to come up with process improvements, drive them through completion, and possess excellent leadership skills.

**Responsibilities**

  • Manage a shift (Day/Night) and constantly identify opportunities to improve team performance, owning associated change management.
  • Develop and/or refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
  • Identify the business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
  • Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
  • Evaluate problems or variances in the information and data, escalate to relevant owners, and follow through on resolutions.
  • Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

**Key Job Responsibilities**

  • Define, build, and execute transportation processes from FC to customers, leveraging Sort Center network.
  • Hire, train, and build a highly motivated workforce for SC teams, collaborating with HR and training teams, to meet operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC, and Projects teams on matters related to SC operations.
  • Continuously improve SC processes and attain sustained performance standards.
  • Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.

**A Day in the Life**

You will manage day-to-day floor operations in the shift (Day/Night), ensure all standard operating procedures are followed, monitor key metrics, carry regular audits, and motivate the team to achieve maximum efficiency and output on the floor.
