We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Backend Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, architecting, and developing complex enterprise software and SaaS web applications using modern web stacks.

You will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications that meet the needs of our customers.

To succeed in this role, you should have a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and design patterns. Additionally, experience with code quality and reusability practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, is highly desirable.

As a Backend Developer at Velotio Technologies, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex enterprise software and SaaS web applications
  • Build high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of production experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., Ruby on Rails)
  • Sound experience in developing scalable/distributed SaaS apps
  • Good knowledge and work experience in REST API implementations, JSON format handling, caching, sessions, multi-threading, etc.
  • Experience with database schema design and leveraging SQL & NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB)
  • Experience developing, consuming, and transforming internal and 3rd party APIs (REST and GraphQL)
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, design patterns
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, troubleshooting, and agile development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with front-end technologies like React, Javascript/Typescript
  • Cloud native development on AWS or GCP
  • Experience with implementation of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
