Job Title: Senior Developer

About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to lead our team in delivering applications and products using various software technologies. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems using IBM i / AS/400 platform and RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts.
  • Develop strong command of RPG IV / RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts and apply them to real-world problems.
  • Work with OMS, Inventory, WMS, and PO modules to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Understand and implement DB2/400 – physical/logical files, SQL, journaling, triggers, and debugging skills using STRDBG, job logs, and error analysis.
  • Experience working with batch jobs, interactive screens, menus, and subfiles.
  • Develop file-based integrations and data exchange formats (EDI, XML, CSV) and work with Change Management tools (Aldon, Turnover, Rocket, etc.).
  • Develop business workflows in the supply chain or retail domain and API development on IBM i using Open Access or web services.

What We Are Looking For:

For this role, we require:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • 12 - 20 years of experience on IBM i / AS/400 platform.
  • Experience in the retail domain.
  • Able to create projects in a modular fashion and encourage re-use of code.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Strong Communications and Client interaction skills.
