Inventory Planning and Dispatch Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing centralized warehouse operations to ensure seamless distribution to 200+ offline centers across India. This role requires expertise in inventory control, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate stock keeping of all categories – uniforms, welcome kits, and student modules by implementing robust inventory management systems.
  • Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements through data analysis and market research.
  • Supervise cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage replenishment planning with procurement teams to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
Dispatch & Logistics Operations:
  • Plan and execute pan-India dispatches to 150 centers within defined timelines by coordinating with logistics/courier partners.
  • Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy to ensure timely delivery.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with logistics/courier partners to resolve escalations and ensure zero service gaps.
  • Monitor shipment movement to track progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for academic, non-academic, and regional teams for dispatch requirements.
  • Align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages to resolve issues promptly.
Process Compliance & Reporting:
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence to measure success.
  • Prepare management information systems (MIS) and dashboards to provide insights into stock movement, pending orders, and aging inventory.
  • Identify areas for process optimization and cost efficiency to drive business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS).
  • Knowledge of pan-India logistics and dispatch planning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for supply chain challenges.
  • Team leadership and vendor management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
