Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Administrator to join our team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in PostgreSQL DBA, including hands-on experience with production environments, and deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tuning.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain complex database systems, ensuring high performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot database issues, implementing solutions to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database architectures, including replication and high-availability solutions.
  • Develop and enforce database security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in PostgreSQL DBA, with a strong focus on production environments.
  • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with pgBackRest, Barman, pg_basebackup, pg_dump.
  • Strong expertise with HA and replication solutions (Patroni, repmgr).
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and automation.
  • Solid understanding of database security and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience handling critical incidents.
