Job SummaryThe successful candidate will support the General Counsel on legal and compliance responsibilities, including drafting and reviewing contracts, financing documents, and other related tasks. You will also be responsible for tracking reporting requirements, preparing updates, and reviewing investor materials.
Responsibilities- Drafting and reviewing contracts pertaining to asset acquisitions and debt facilities;
- Leading the completion of associated deliverables in connection with each acquisition and debt facility;
- Tracking reporting requirements under long-term contracts executed by the Client and its assets;
- Preparing updates covering legal and compliance developments with respect to the Client;
- Reviewing investor materials and periodic reports;
- Reviewing SEBI disclosures and stock exchange filings;
- Coordinating with external counsel as necessary;
- Reviewing and recommending revisions to standard lease documentation;
- 7 years of post-qualification experience in general corporate and M&A transactions;
- Experience in law firm or a mix of in-house legal and law firm preferred;
- Strong communication skills, specifically the ability to explain legal concepts in layman's terms;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously;
As a Senior Corporate Counsel at MRG, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately ₹40 LPA and a dynamic work environment that encourages growth and development.
