Job Title: Senior Java Developer



Description:



Vibrant Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Design and develop high-quality Java code for complex software applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team's skills and knowledge are current


Qualifications/ Competencies:



To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and competencies:




  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java
  • 5+ years of experience with Open-Source tools (Spring, Hibernate, Apache, Maven, JUnit, etc.)
  • 4+ years experience with relational database development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling)
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility to work independently or in a team-environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


Good to have:



The following qualifications are a plus:




  • Experience on frameworks like Angular, React, Typescript
  • Experience with at least one NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and one scripting language (Perl/Python)
  • Experience with cloud native development (Kubernetes, Docker), open source publish-subscribe frameworks like Apache Kafka
