Senior Frontend Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a long-term contract position where you will be working as a Senior Frontend Engineer. You will be responsible for building and scaling high-traffic e-commerce experiences for a leading U.S. healthcare client.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop large-scale, production React/Next.js web apps for e-commerce.
  • Implement SSR/SSG, API routes/middleware, and reusable component libraries.
  • Integrate RESTful and GraphQL services; model clean contracts with backend teams.
  • Own state management (React Query, Redux, Zustand) and performance tuning.
  • Drive CI/CD, testing, and release quality; champion accessibility and security best practices.
  • Collaborate across Product, Design, and DevOps; lead code reviews and mentor engineers.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of web development experience.
  • 5+ years with React.js and/or Next.js (Hooks: useState, useEffect, useContext, useRef, useMemo, useCallback).
  • 5+ years JavaScript/TypeScript with deep knowledge of modern tooling.
  • 3+ years architecting large-scale, high-traffic e-commerce apps.
  • 2+ years designing REST and/or implementing GraphQL.
  • 2+ years on cloud (preferably GCP).
  • 2+ years in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Strong performance optimization, debugging, and observability skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Healthcare domain exposure (compliance, PII/PHI handling).
  • Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • SEO, Web Vitals, micro-frontends, Vercel/Cloud Run experience.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with modern frontend technologies such as React and Next.js.
  2. Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  4. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
