The role of a Senior Site Engineer is to oversee and monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring timely and quality execution. This involves reviewing structural, architectural, and service drawings and executing site works accordingly.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and monitoring on-site construction activities to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Reviewing structural, architectural, and service drawings and executing site works accordingly.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments for seamless execution.
  • Monitoring progress against schedule and reporting daily/weekly updates to the project manager.
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Managing site resources – manpower, materials, and equipment – efficiently.
  • Resolving technical issues at the site and escalating major deviations when required.
  • Supporting in quantity measurements, contractor billing, and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and structural systems.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings and using tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office.
  • Sound understanding of safety protocols, QA/QC procedures, and local construction norms.
  • Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage contractors, site teams, and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in real estate or construction projects involving residential high-rises, commercial spaces, or infrastructure.
  • Exposure to MEP coordination and finishing stages of construction.
  • Familiarity with IS codes, regulatory standards, and local building bye-laws.
