Job Description

As a senior system engineer, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of client networks, servers, and overall infrastructure. This includes maintaining our clients' IT infrastructure remotely and at customer site(s) when needed.

You will also help architect and implement a wide range of IT projects, such as high availability, virtualization, and cloud services. Additionally, you will be the escalation path for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve.

Work closely with managers, service coordinators, and other engineers to meet customer service-level commitments and provide world-class customer service.

Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, remote or on-premise as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience administering, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Windows-based networks and servers.
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 administration, and Windows security.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls and switches (Cisco, SonicWALL, Dell, Fortinet).
  • Hands-on experience with heavily virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions and cloud-based email systems (O365, GSuite).
  • Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and excellent time management.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • CCNA or equivalent network experience is desired.
  • MSCE or equivalent server experience is desired.
