Appium Mobile Automation Lead Tester Job Description

The role of an Appium Mobile Automation Lead Tester involves the end-to-end automation of mobile applications for Android and iOS using the Appium framework and Core Java to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.

Key responsibilities include designing and writing automated test scripts, executing these tests, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of the mobile testing lifecycle.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. The candidate should also have overall 4 – 10 years of experience in software testing and minimum 3+ years relevant experience in Appium and Java.

  • Proficiency in Appium: Extensive experience in designing and executing automated tests for mobile applications using Appium.
  • Programming language proficiency: Strong command of a programming language in Core Java and Selenium.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical information clearly.

Desirable skills include hands-on experience in API Automation, knowledge of Maestro, Cypress, playwright, and experience in the healthcare industry.
