Job Title: Machine Shop Lead

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a machine shop, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in machine operations, setup, and maintenance.
  • Develop and communicate daily/weekly/monthly objectives to employees.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure products meet necessary standards and specifications.
  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols to avoid accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and management teams to achieve company-wide production goals.
  • Resolve worker grievances or submit unsettled grievances to higher management for action.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
  • Monitor productivity and improve machine utilization, OEE.
  • Develop FTP (Fixture/Tooling/Part Programming) for NPD and prepare work instruction, tool list, operation sheets, and shop floor inspection methodology.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for capacity enhancement.
  • Analyze job rejection and take corrective action for non-occurrence and work on process improvements.
  • Maintain QMS documents for central machine SOP.
  • First Pass Yield Achievement
  • Cost-saving initiatives.
  • Industry 4.0 TPM-Trak application to utilize for productivity monitoring and downtime reduction.
  • Shopfloor improvements initiative like 5S, TPM, Lean, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, KPI, etc.
  • CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens)
