**Job Title:** Plant Supply Chain Manager

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your expertise in supply chain management to drive business growth? We are seeking an experienced Plant Supply Chain Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain functions, including production planning and control, plant sourcing, warehousing, logistics, and scrap management. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    • Align material availability with the production plan to ensure zero downtime.
    • Collaborate with production, sales, and central planning teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
    • Monitor daily and weekly production plans and adjust schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination:
    • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
    • Coordinate with central procurement and approved vendors to track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
    • Monitor stock ageing, non-moving inventory, and initiate timely disposal or consumption plans.
    • Ensure regular physical stock audits and reconciliation with system records.
  • Warehousing & Logistics:
    • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) deliveries.
    • Manage warehouse operations, space utilization, and storage safety.
    • Ensure proper documentation, dispatch scheduling, and coordination with transporters.
  • Cost & Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement initiatives to reduce logistics, inventory carrying, and procurement costs.
    • Drive process improvements using lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Track and improve key SCM KPIs like inventory turnover, delivery accuracy, and material yield.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS norms, and statutory regulations.
    • Conduct regular training and audits to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing plant SCM team.
    • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and development plans for the team.
    • Foster collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset.

  • On-time availability of materials (RM/PM)
  • Production adherence vs plan
  • Inventory turnover & stock accuracy
  • OTIF delivery performance
  • SCM cost savings achieved
  • Audit scores & compliance ratings

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Engineering / Science / Commerce (MBA or PG in Supply Chain preferred) 12-20 years of relevant experience in supply chain or operations management in a manufacturing setup
  • Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, logistics, and warehousing practices
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
