At OptimHire, we're looking for a seasoned Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust server-side applications that power our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance server-side applications using Node.js, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications, with a focus on security and data integrity.
  • Work with various databases (SQL and NoSQL) to efficiently store and retrieve data, ensuring seamless integration with our applications.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing server-side code for speed and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices to protect user data, including data encryption and authentication.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and quality of the backend code.
  • Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes to the codebase.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for APIs and backend systems.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Node.js Backend Developer.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Based on industry standards and location, this salary range reflects the compensation package for an experienced Backend Software Engineer at OptimHire.
