Protect and Defend: Cybersecurity Engineer Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and deploy cutting-edge security tools and infrastructure to protect against emerging cyber threats.
  • Monitor Systems and Networks: Proactively identify potential security breaches and conduct thorough investigations into violations.
  • Perform Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct penetration testing and comprehensive risk analysis to ensure system integrity and data protection.
  • Respond to Security Incidents: Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that systems, applications, and network configurations comply with industry-standard security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Collaboration and Training: Work closely with IT and development teams to implement robust security best practices and provide regular security awareness training for staff and developers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK), vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or GSEC.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
