Playwright Senior Tester Job Description

In this role, you will be part of an innovative and dynamic environment that fosters collaboration and growth. As a senior tester, you will work closely with colleagues from around the world to create solutions for leading companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred) to ensure robust, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts.
  • Design and implement test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
  • Identify, log, and track software defects; assist in root cause analysis and debugging.
  • Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and platforms.
  • Advocate for automation best practices and maintain test documentation.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 4-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in the Testing field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Playwright development.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL query writing.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in Python development is good to have.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with API Automation testing tools like Rest Assured or any equivalent tool is a must.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC.

Additional Skills:

  • BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
  • Performance and security testing concepts.
