Invenio Business Solutions, the largest independent global SAP solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on SAP Security and Basis-related projects.

Responsibilities

• System monitoring and health check activities, including reporting to management
• Complete SAP monitoring of application servers, user login, and system status
• Monitor R/3 and Java-based systems, work processes, and completion status
• Resolve reporting problems, including start-up, BG jobs, critical updates, and system logs
• Client administration, including client creation, deletion, export, and import
• Transport setup and change request management, TR import, and troubleshooting
• Schedule new background jobs and reporting for issues and troubleshooting
• Installation of new R/3 and Java-based systems in Unix and Windows-based OS
• Perform post-installation activities on R/3 and Java-based systems
• Create and maintain logical systems
• Configure logon load balancing, OP modes, SMLG, and other system settings
• Apply support packages, add-ons, database patches, and DB client updates
• System performance monitoring and fine-tuning at SAP and database levels
• Apply SAP LICENSE NOTE Sying NOTES auto and manually
• Solution Manager 7.2 implementation, configuration, and administration
• Solution Manager system configuration, EWA reports generation, and troubleshooting
• System refresh/copy activities with Oracle database
• User management, including user creation, deletion, lock/unlock, and extend validity
• Role design and build, including creating new roles, single role, master, composite, and derived roles
• Limit/delimitation of SAP roles to users
• Analyze missing authorizations and assign roles to users
• Role modifications, adjusting derived roles, adding T. Codes, new fields, values, and authorization objects copied from Master role
• Document SAP security policies and procedures
• Sybase 16.0 DB upgrade, configuration, and administration
• SAP NetWeaver 7.5 Enterprise portal upgrade and administration
• SAP Content Server and Max DB database implementation and administration
• SSO Certificate Configuration
• SAP Web dispatcher installation, configuration, and implementation
• SAP Router installation and administration
• SAP Internal/External Audit - Quarterly and Yearly
• Secure protocol conversion HTTPS for SAP landscape ABAP and Java
• SSL Configuration for ABAP and Java systems
• SAP Role Clean-up and Recertification Activity for users
• SOD (Segregation Of Duties) Conflicts Clean-up and Administration for SAP users
• SAP Profile Parameter Maintenance
• SAP Backup Maintenance and administration
• Monitor SAP Landscape Performance Issues
• Administer monthly OS and database level patching
• SAP DR BPC Drill - Disaster recovery
• Prepare and deliver project reporting data to the service delivery Manager as per project reporting requirements

Business Skills

• Interact with end-users, functional, and technical consultants to understand issues and provide solutions with seamless coordination
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Well-conversant with incident and change management tools and methodologies
• Understands business processes for focus area or module
• Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks
• Strong analytical skills
• Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify touch points between modules

• Ability to communicate efficiently with cross-functional/technical teams and develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders and client's user base
• Aptitude for working in a team environment, problem-solving skills, creative thinking, communicating clearly and empathetically, strong time management, and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff
• Ability to explain ideas and concepts to other project team members and to client personnel
• Solid foundation for consulting 'soft' skills necessary for client engagements
• Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices

• Assist project team efforts in developing solutions for client situations
• Assist in evaluating and designing application and/or technical architectures
• Assist team effort in developing solutions for projects
• Complete assignments within budget, meet project deadlines, and make and keep sensible commitments to clients and team
• Meet billing efficiency targets and comply with all administrative responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
• Keep project management apprised of project direction and client concerns
• Analyze and develop reliable solutions which comply with specifications and standards and execute system tests
• Understands SAP methodologies, tools, standards, and techniques
• Understands the client's business and technical environments
• Complete project documentation, and demonstrates effective organizational skills, with minimal supervision
• Meet quality standards, correctly prioritize own activities in accordance with project plan and budget
• Provide project team leaders with updates on the progress and difficulties encountered and provide value-added insight and understanding
• Demonstrate the ability to accomplish project assignments resulting in quality service
• Prepare and deliver project reporting data to the service delivery Manager as per project reporting requirements
• Will be required to work regularly from a client location in Mumbai in near future
• Should be a quick learner and enthusiast for learning new things
