Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and deploy MicroStrategy tools and clients to meet business requirements.
  • Manage MicroStrategy security and administration, including roles, LDAP groups, and user interfaces to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and implement new reporting/configuration packages for deployment, focusing on business value and stakeholder engagement.
  • Perform content administration tasks, such as patching, folder/user management, and migrating content across environments to maintain data consistency.
  • Support MicroStrategy configuration for new clients and database migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist internal and external clients with troubleshooting and conduct product demos to drive adoption and satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and resolve reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations, cubes, reports, and dashboards to ensure timely delivery of insights.
  • Set up monitoring and alerts for key performance indicators to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Work with MicroStrategy tools such as Developer, Command Manager, Architect, Object Manager, and License Manager to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Handle capacity sizing and planning for infrastructure components to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Work with Linux/Unix environments, writing simple scripts for automation to streamline processes.
  • Troubleshoot SQL-related issues, report failures, and manage server-level settings to maintain system stability.
  • Support change management, incident management, and other project activities to ensure smooth implementation of business solutions.
  • Understand IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and disaster recovery tools to provide strategic guidance.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience as a MicroStrategy Administrator with a strong focus on business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in MicroStrategy Cloud version and MicroStrategy AI/Auto Skill Set to leverage advanced capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL troubleshooting and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Experience in capacity planning and infrastructure monitoring to predict and prevent issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI administration is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
