CAM Programmer Job Description

Are you a precision engineering enthusiast looking to drive innovation in manufacturing processes?

We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge CNC machining technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in NX software, with expertise in defining cutting tools and strategies for 3D models. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to validate outputs, process inputs, and support production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop CAM Programs: Generate complex CAM programs using NX software, defining cutting tools and strategies for 3D models.
  • Validate Outputs: Run tool path simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual simulations to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Process Inputs: Validate 3D models against 2D drawings, assemble part geometry in fixtures, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Support Production: Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines, ensuring seamless process execution.
  • Quality Control: Analyze QC reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed to maintain high product quality.
  • Documentation: Create setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators, promoting efficient workflow and reducing errors.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (B.E. preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years (B.E.) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM programming.
  • Skills: Knowledge of GD&T (mandatory), CNC machines (mandatory), NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred).
