Job Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Expert plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. This involves reviewing transactions handled by the operations team and making decisions based on pre-defined rules.

This critical function is essential for maintaining the integrity of business operations and preventing potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the compliance team lead in protecting the organization from legal, regulatory, and reputational risk regarding business involving sanctioned entities and/or countries.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews in accordance with AML policies and departmental procedures within established timeframes.
  • Conduct timely quality activities such as day-to-day quality reviews on alerts processed by users.
  • Execute internal control checks as defined in documentation governed by sanctions and embargoes frameworks.
  • Support reporting obligations to competent authorities with respect to transaction handling.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sanctions and Regulatory Filtering knowledge.
  • SWIFT Message Format and Fields.
  • SWIFT Payment Flow.
  • SEPA Message Structure and Payment Flow.
  • ISO 20022.
  • Proficient in e-mail communication.
  • Good communication skills (Written & Verbal).
