Job Title: Business Intelligence Specialist

Business Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide expert support in data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leveraging data analytics, developing insightful reports, and integrating technology solutions to improve assessment and monitoring processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    • Engage with stakeholders at various levels to understand monitoring needs and capacities related to educational initiatives.
    • Review existing practices and management information systems (MIS) to identify areas for improvement.
    • Collect, clean, and analyze educational data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Reporting, Visualization & Technology Integration:
    • Support the creation of dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into key education initiatives.
    • Use data visualization tools to present complex data in accessible formats for leadership.
    • Collaborate with the MIS and Technology Cell to integrate new technologies and systems that enhance educational outcomes.
  • Data Management & Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all educational data systems.
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
    • Work closely with quality education officers and teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Propose and implement improvements to existing data processes and systems.
  • Capacity Building & Training:
    • Build capacity of quality education officers and state education functionaries on data analytics tools and dashboard usage.
    • Develop user guides and documentation for data systems and processes.
    • Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on data entry, reporting, monitoring, and information.

We require a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Education Technology, Statistics, or a related field. A minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in the education sector, is also necessary. Proficiency in data visualization tools, Excel, and Google Sheets is essential, as well as experience with MIS systems and technology integration in public sector projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience in stakeholder engagement and capacity building, along with a commitment to improving education outcomes through technology and data, is also required.
