Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing pharmacy operations at our retail store. They will ensure accurate dispensing of medications, compliance with regulations, provide expert advice to customers, and maintain the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.

The pharmacist will attend prescriptions at the sales counter, ensure correct dosage and medication use. They will also source unavailable medications from in-house pharmacies to ensure 100% fulfillment of the prescription.

A key aspect of this role is providing patients/customers with detailed information on medication usage, potential side effects, and health advice to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of prescription decoding, medical abbreviations, and handwriting recognition. They will also have an in-depth understanding of drug interactions, side effects, and alternative medications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and possess a valid pharmacist license as per state or national regulations.

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations regarding medications and their usage.

They should have attention to detail and high-level accuracy in dispensing medicines. Strong organizational and inventory management skills are also essential.

The selected candidate will demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy regulations and industry best practices. They should be able to effectively manage inbound calls and respond to queries related to drug therapy, home delivery orders, and medication concerns.
