Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team.

This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires advanced knife handling skills, a strong understanding of culinary terms, and the ability to work efficiently in any section of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare basic food items according to established recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Effectively complete tasks, work productively, and meet deadlines.
  • Report for duty at assigned times, follow supervisor instructions, and maintain personal appearance and hygiene according to company rules.

Financial Performance:

  • Ensure cost-effective use of resources, including equipment and supplies.

Motivational Leadership:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in upscale dining establishments; 2 years as Line Cook (experience in hotel or resort settings preferred).
  • Culinary school degree required.
  • Strong leadership skills in diverse and dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of personalized services, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
  • Intermediate computer software skills required.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, including numbering flow, Debits/Credits, adjusting entries, and corrections.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and establish good rapport with management and corporate office.

Internal Candidate Requirements:

In addition to hiring requirements, internal candidates must complete at least one contract as Commis Cook with satisfactory performance rating, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
