About the Role

The position involves a high level of responsibility and autonomy. As Software Engineer in Test you will work independently to create, test and release web application automated test suites. You will use your technical skills to provide quality assurance for software applications through testing.

Responsibilities include architecting, implementing and maintaining automated UI testing frameworks using Cypress. You will also extend existing test frameworks in C# and TypeScript for API, integration, and unit testing. In addition to this, configure and schedule nightly executions of UI tests using GitHub Actions.

Performance metrics will be measured on individual productivity, quality of code delivery, defect density, cycle time, and adoption rate.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years experience with test automation for web applications, with hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing. A strong foundation in object-oriented programming fundamentals is essential. Proficiency in C# and/or TypeScript, as well as experience building and maintaining test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit, Jest), are also key requirements.

The successful candidate will be familiar with Azure DevOps: pipelines, repos, artifacts, and test plans. Additionally, working knowledge of AWS provisioning, IAM, and basic troubleshooting is expected. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including QA, development, and DevOps. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for success in this position.

Mentor junior QA engineers on automation tools and techniques. This includes continually improving test coverage, performance and reliability.
