About this Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to spearhead the design and development of our enterprise data foundation. The ideal candidate will lead the creation of scalable models, drive data strategy, and enable high-velocity product development.

You will oversee the entire lifecycle of data - from dbt pipelines and PostgreSQL modeling to data quality, testing, and deployment - collaborating cross-functionally to make data a strategic advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain a robust semantic layer and modular dbt pipelines
  • Owning schema design, documentation, and data contracts across analytics and application layers
  • Defining and enforcing data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models
  • Implementing data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale
  • Guiding tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack
  • Collaborating with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ship reliable data-backed features
  • Mentoring a growing team of engineers and participating in architecture planning and reviews

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
  • Deep experience designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models
  • Advanced expertise in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs)
  • Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL
  • Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience with tools in the modern data stack, including: dbt, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and IaC platforms
