Job Title: Academic Program Director

Academic Program Directors are responsible for leading and managing academic programs in film production, directing, screenwriting, and related fields.

  • Create Academic Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive academic programs that meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Curriculum Development: Ensure curriculum is aligned with industry needs and meets quality standards.
  • Program Reviews and Assessments: Conduct regular program reviews and assessments to ensure quality and relevance.

Faculty and Staff Management:

  • Mentorship and Evaluation: Mentor, evaluate, and promote professional development of faculty and staff.
  • Research Opportunities: Foster a collaborative environment that promotes research opportunities and career growth.

Student Development:

  • Recruitment and Retention: Oversee student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts to ensure student success.
  • Career Counseling: Support students through mentorship and career counseling to achieve their goals.

Industry and Community Engagement:

  • Partnerships and Networking: Build partnerships with industry leaders, production houses, and film organizations to enhance department reputation.
  • Guest Lectures and Workshops: Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events to foster industry connections.

Strategic Planning and Vision:

  • Long-term Goals: Develop long-term goals and strategies for department growth, staying updated on global cinema trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in academic administration or operations, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Key Skills:

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with academic management software.
