About The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Engineering Manager to lead our frontend team and drive the development of cutting-edge user interfaces. Your role will be crucial in shaping how business users visualize and analyze large data sets, positioning the UI as a key differentiator for our product.

The challenge is to guide the team in building a highly interactive, intuitive app that delivers complex BI functionalities with a seamless user experience. The application must also maintain lightning-fast response times, even when processing large data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Technical Ownership: Drive the design, development, and delivery of frontend applications, ensuring best practices in code quality, performance, and security.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (PMs, designers, backend engineers) to align on product vision and deliver features on time.
  • Architectural Guidance: Provide technical leadership in frontend architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Code Review: Oversee code quality through code reviews, ensure adherence to standards, and guide the team in solving complex problems.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and optimise development processes to increase efficiency and team productivity.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Hire, onboard, and integrate new engineers into the team, ensuring they are set up for success.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React / Angular).
  • Deep understanding of web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance frontend architectures.
  • Solid experience with backend integration (APIs, distributed systems).
  • Previous experience in people management, mentoring, and developing engineers.
  • A passion for architecting solutions that make UI responsive and ability to identify, quantify, debug and remove performance bottlenecks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
