Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at SMARTWORK IT SERVICES.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and scale production services and servers across multiple data centers for complex, data-intensive cloud services.
  • Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
  • Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at a massive scale.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications fit within the infrastructure and that scalability/reliability is designed and implemented from the ground up.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure incidents, formulating theories and testing hypotheses to identify root causes.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with Shell and Python scripting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of operational best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Advanced Python skills for automation and scripting.
  • Proficiency in additional scripting languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes internals and best practices.
