Software Engineering Leadership

Job Description

As a Software Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for guiding a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions. You will provide technical support, guidance, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring successful project execution. Your role will also involve mentoring team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.

In addition, you will contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments. You will manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.

You will also monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budget to ensure efficient project execution. Furthermore, you will proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role
  • Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
  • Strong programming and debugging skills
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
