Job Title: Enterprise Kafka Migration Specialist

">Enterprise Kafka Migration Specialist

Design and implement automated migration pipelines to efficiently move large-scale enterprise Kafka workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.

  • Develop comprehensive migration plans, automate validation and rollback tasks, and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Script and provision migration steps, leveraging expertise in Kafka Connect custom plugin development and CI/CD process automation.
  • Create scalable architectures for resource provisioning and configuration rollouts using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
  • Ensure robust automated testing covers data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Apache Kafka administration, migration, and scalability
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring/validation tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and automation of rollback/validation steps for migrations
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), data ops, and security automation
