Network Admin Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our computer networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, manage, and maintain our computer networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network uptime and performance.
  • Implement security measures to protect our network from unauthorized access and malicious activity.
  • Collaborate with our IT team to develop and implement network policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as updating firmware, checking cables, and monitoring system logs.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  • CCNP or CCIE certification in routing and switching is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with expertise in network protocols, architectures, and technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with wireless networking technologies, including Cisco Wireless LAN controllers and autonomous and lightweight access points.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard network management tools, such as SolarWinds and Nagios.
