Job Title: Controls and Vision Engineer

 

  • Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
  • Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner.
  • Apply basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  • Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Apply machine vision systems expertise with industrial vision systems such as Cognex, Keyence, Basler, or similar.
  • Integrate industrial cameras (GigE, USB3, Camera Link) with robotic systems.
  • Develop vision algorithms and system integration using Python, C++, or C#.
  • Implement robot-vision calibration with experience in 2D/3D vision-guided robotics.

 

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of E-planner, PLC programming with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Omron systems.
  • Expertise in panel architecture, panel building, and integration.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the mechanical/electrical industry, with a Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
  • Proficiency in machine vision systems including Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Omron, NI Vision, and MVTec Halcon.
  • Strong knowledge of image processing techniques using OpenCV, Halcon, MATLAB, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, and LabVIEW for vision algorithm development and system integration.
  • Exposure to 3D vision technologies such as stereo vision, structured light, time-of-flight cameras, LiDAR, and depth-sensing technologies.
