Procurement Manager Job Overview

As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing raw materials essential for the production of solar mounting structures, transmission towers, and wind towers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with production demands and market conditions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to secure the best terms and maintain a robust supply chain that meets our quality standards.
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any procurement-related issues to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products to inform purchasing decisions and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, finance, and plant planning teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively to balance availability and cost, minimizing waste and maximizing value.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement, safety, and quality.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and prepare reports on procurement performance to inform business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in the steel or manufacturing industries, with a strong understanding of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement software applications, including SAP Hana.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
