Accounting and Taxation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Canadian Accounting and Taxation Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial laws.

 

Job Description:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with ASPE or IFRS, depending on the client's requirements.
  • Closing Activities: Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Tax Filings: File GST/HST, payroll remittances, corporate tax (T2), and other regulatory returns.
  • Personal Tax Filings: Assist with personal tax (T1) filings during tax season (if applicable).
  • Liaison with Regulatory Bodies: Liaise with external auditors, CRA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Canadian accounting and tax laws.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional Qualification: CA or CA Intern Fresher can apply.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in Canadian accounting or taxation preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as Profile, TaxCycle, CaseWare, or Cantax.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of Canadian tax rules and filing procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
