Job Title: Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our organization in the procurement of steel products, aluminum materials, and heavy machinery.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for these commodities;

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for steel products, aluminum, and heavy industrial equipment;
  • Preparing and issuing RFQs, purchase orders, and tracking deliveries as per production timelines;
  • Reviewing technical specifications and ensuring materials comply with project and quality standards;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and monitoring their performance for quality, pricing, and reliability;
  • Coordinating with internal departments such as engineering, production, and finance for smooth procurement operations;
  • Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with laws and company policies;
  • Supporting inventory control and optimizing cost efficiency in procurement processes;
  • Staying informed about market trends and material price fluctuations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.);
  • 2-4 years of procurement experience in KSA, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector;
  • Solid knowledge of steel, aluminum, and machinery components;
  • Experience working with local and international vendors;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.);
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills;
  • Transferable Iqama preferred (for non-Saudi nationals).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Negotiation: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for steel products, aluminum, and heavy industrial equipment.
  • RFQ and Purchase Orders: Prepare and issue RFQs, purchase orders, and track deliveries as per production timelines.
  • Quality Control: Review technical specifications and ensure materials comply with project and quality standards.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor their performance for quality, pricing, and reliability.
  • Inventory Control: Support inventory control and optimize cost efficiency in procurement processes.
Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of procurement experience in KSA, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Skills: Solid knowledge of steel, aluminum, and machinery components; experience working with local and international vendors; proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
