Piping Stress Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing stress analysis using industry-leading software and designing pipe supports for pipelines above ground and underground.

  • Strong knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safe design practices.
  • Prepare job execution plans and work instructions/standard drawings based on ITB requirements.
  • Estimate man-hours for projects/proposal and other horizontal/vertical work share.
  • Coordinate with non-metallic pipe vendors to obtain correct pipe properties to ensure stress analysis conforms to vendor-supplied parameters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in piping stress analysis and design.
  • Strong knowledge of Caesar II software and PIPENET software.
  • Ability to identify various data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage.
