About the Role

This team will accelerate success in India by working closely with the engineering team in the United States, Nigeria, and Kenya. Team members will design and maintain multiple technologies, including API backends, credit scoring systems, payments integrations, and operations tools.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build APIs and backend systems for our frontend clients.
  • Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms.
  • Help build new financial products.
  • Scale our backend services to ever-growing levels of traffic and complexity.
Requirements
  • 3-8 years of experience building backend software for web-based or mobile products.
  • Experience leveraging modern AI tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including distributed systems, data storage, and agile development methodologies.
  • Pragmatic approach combining a strong understanding of technology and product needs to arrive at the best solution for a given problem.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Excitement about working in a distributed team and company, collaborating with teammates from all over the world.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data architectures that integrate disparate data sources.

  • Hands-on experience with toolstack similar to dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Metabase.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python.
