Job Overview

As a Quality Assurance Automation Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright. You will also lead, mentor, and grow other QA Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow other QA Engineers.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing for web applications.
  • Review and execute detailed test cases and scenarios.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify product/development gaps and escalate to respective teams.
  • Conduct both UI and API testing.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline maintenance and improvement.
  • Create and maintain test documentation.
  • Report and track bugs using JIRA.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with modern testing frameworks.
  • Programming Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • API Testing: Experience with REST API testing.
  • Version Control: Git.
  • CI/CD: Experience with GitHub/GitLab/Jenkins.
  • Test Reporting: Knowledge of Allure reporting or similar.
  • Database: Basic understanding of NoSQL databases.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of QA engineers.
  • Experience working at a startup.
  • High standards for quality and ownership.
  • Strong manual testing skills and QA fundamentals.
  • Experience in maintaining and creating manual test cases.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills That Would Be Beneficial:

  • Candidates with experience in automating AI-heavy applications would be preferred.
  • Knowledge about security and load testing.
  • Experience with email testing automation.
  • Experience with data generation tools like Faker.
  • Knowledge of Docker containers.
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
