Financial Operations Manager

As a skilled Finance Lead, you will oversee the financial health of our company by managing accounting operations to meet legal requirements in India and US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting activities, MIS reporting, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Support corporate budget and forecasting activities.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advise team members on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
- Work with the auditor to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
- Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Enforce strict compliance with outlined processes and standards, and follow industry best practices.
- Take ownership of their own work as well as of their team, and be accountable for meeting the obligations of the organization.
- Responsible for staff scheduling, including work assignments, employee training, and employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, backup for absent employees.
- Provide effective, constructive, and timely feedback to their team, set the bar, and help their teams to meet and/or exceed it.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year, and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
Our ideal candidate should have good knowledge of US GAAP, accounting procedures, taxation, and other statutory and legal matters enabling them to perform core accounting and finance functions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), relationship-building skills, and ability to lead and develop others.
- Hands-on experience in QuickBooks, Zoho, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications would be an added advantage:
- Immediate joiner, qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA.
- Experience in IT/service sector.
- Knowledge in US & Indian taxes.
Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are essential:
- Overall, 4 to 7 years of experience in finance/accounts with 2-3 years of people management experience.
- Having a strong financial and accounting background with a passion for helping teams get to the next level.
- Commerce graduate, preferably qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA.
