About this role

We're seeking an experienced Software Development professional to join our team. As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will work on large-scale applications that require performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Your primary responsibility will be to create intuitive, interactive, and easy-to-use web applications using rich client-side and REST-based server-side code. You will also implement the nuts and bolts of Microservices Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) in real-life applications.

  • Collaborate with other engineers to design and develop complex software applications;
  • Create high-quality, well-documented code that meets requirements and follows best practices;
  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions, including non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 4-7 years of experience in software development;
  • Hands-on programming experience with Ruby on Rails and Node.js, including object-oriented design;
  • Experience with MVC, Web forms Framework, and PostgreSQL or related databases;
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment;
  • Proven ability to contribute to architecture and design decisions.
Preferred Skills:

While not required, it would be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience with RESTful Web Services and API development using Ruby on Rails or any other Node.js framework;
  • Experience in full-stack development, ranging from front-end user interfaces to backend systems;
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, React.js/TypeScript, and Graph Query Language (GQL);
  • Experience working with Elasticsearch/Solr and Cloud Computing platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure Cloud.
