Software Tester Role

  • We are seeking a skilled software tester with hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and functional specifications.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using standard industry tools.
  • Verify that all issues/tickets meet defined acceptance criteria.
  • Detect recurring bug patterns across features or products.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress and defects.
  • Actively participate in requirement reviews.
  • Enhance testing methodologies, tools, and practices through learning and adoption.
  • Contribute to code reviews by assessing testability and maintainability aspects of the codebase.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and document reported issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge/exposure to Python and .NET to support testing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Database testing (SQL/MongoDB).
  • Strong background in multiple testing types (Integration, System, Functional, Regression, Sanity, Smoke, GUI, and API testing).
  • Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Skilled in preparing and implementing test strategies, test plans, and executing them effectively.
  • Experience in defect management, defect tracking, and test tool usage.
  • Knowledge of SQL and MongoDB with exposure to database testing (a plus).
  • Solid grasp of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.

  • Ability to perform well in fast-paced, dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities.
