The SSO Finance Specialist plays a pivotal role in budget planning, analytics, and payment execution for direct countries or extended study groups. Collaborating closely with the SSO Study Start-Up Team Lead and Study Start-Up Managers, this position ensures SSU timelines and deliverables are met according to country commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports country SSU strategy to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Responsible for accounting and execution of investigator payments, working in close collaboration with SSO Study Start-Up Manager, SSO Clinical Project Manager, and SSO Contracting Specialist.
- Conducts project controlling and budget management, providing financial planning, forecasting, and management analyses and reports on project costs and their drivers.
- Sets up and validates investigator contracts in the accounting system for clinical studies, executes and monitors internal controls, and translates Grant Plans into local Payment Schemes.
- Prepares and submits country TCFs, updates systems (ACT, Optimus, etc.), and executes payments while communicating with sites regarding payment issues.
