Plant and Machinery Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant and Machinery Operations Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of plant and machinery operations, including knowledge of high-rise towers. This individual will be a central figure in the decision-making process, working closely with multiple teams and overseeing specific personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, and other equipment.
  2. Develop and implement methodologies for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  3. Manage spare parts inventory and optimize costs, sourcing plant and machinery operators, mechanics, and other personnel as needed.
  4. Generate local MIS reports for Mechanical Heads at Headquarters or Project In-charges.
  5. Maintain accurate site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  6. Prepare monthly budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them on a regular basis.
  7. Train personnel, workers, and operators on safe equipment usage and repair/servicing procedures to prevent accidents and ensure optimal performance.
  8. Ensure the optimal use of plant and machinery corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  9. Minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize availability at sites.
  10. Develop and implement service schedules for each month based on hours/kilometers run, implementing these schedules strictly to achieve minimum breakdowns of equipment, machinery, and vehicles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
